Silencing the inner bully can be challenging, but important. Recently, I had to confront my mental bully when I decided to enter a half marathon race. Strangely, I did not physically train for the race. In this episode, I discuss the mindset training I went through to overcome my negative inner voice. Here are some strategies I used to help me:
- Identify the inner bully. The first step is to become aware of the inner bully's voice.
- Replace negative thoughts with positive ones. When you start to think negatively, replace those thoughts with more positive affirmations.
- Surround yourself with positive things and people.
Remember that silencing your inner bully is a journey, not a destination. It takes time, effort, and patience. Be kind to yourself and practice positive self-talk.
