According to research from Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Public Health, standing desks are one way to increase general well-being in the workplace. Moreover, in the six month study, the research showed that employees who had stand-capable workstations were 46% more productive than those with traditional seated desk configurations.

Be a proponent for yourself by requesting a sit/stand desk option or mobile workstations.
Incorporate simple movements that fit in your daily routine – set a timer for the top and bottom of every hour as a reminder to at least switch positions or walk to get a drink of water
Encourage stand-up meetings - both more efficient and healthier than traditional sit-down meetings.
