It's become abundantly clear that Seattle doesn't have a number one starting pitcher. Marco got blown up yesterday, his sixth loss in a row. He's not that good, and he's still the best we've got. It would help of course if the defense could get the outs they're supposed to get, or if bats would come alive to prop up the pitching, but none of that is happening right now either. We've seen some bad teams over the years, but is this the worst it's ever been? Yes, it's a rebuild, but even the AAA level guys haven't been great, including a 24-4 loss on Saturday. Jay Bruce is now playing for the Phillies, and the M's covered the majority of the deal, and what did they get in return? A minor league infielder that isn't considered a high-level prospect. So was the deal worth it? We've spent enough time on negativity: It's time for Something God. Today, Kick Hunger Challenge has served millions of meals, and Angie Mentink is selected for the Moose Clausen Community Service Award.
