Carol Harper is a motivational speaker and author of the book, Of Face Value based on her true story. On her way to work one morning, a 100 m.p.h. impact with a drunk driver shattered the bones in her face leaving her unrecognizable. A severe head injury left her in critical condition and the doctors didn't expect her to live. She survived but had six surgeries to rebuild her face. Carol never looked the same. She has been on the Victim Impact Panel for Mothers Against Drunk Driving in Georgia for five years. Since joining Toastmasters International in 2002, Carol has become an accomplished speaker. She has received her Competent Toastmaster Award, Advanced Toastmaster Bronze and Competent Leader Award. Carol served as president of Toastmasters at the Square in Marietta, Georgia in 2005-2006.
