Dr. Pamela Heath was born and raised in Missouri. She obtained a BA in psychology before graduating from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston with an MD. Dr. Heath trained as an anesthesiologist, and has practiced medicine at a variety of locations, including spending 2 years working in the heart of the Navaho reservation. Dr. Heath began having spontaneous psychic experiences in the early 1990s. She returned to school for a Doctorate in Psychology specializing in parapsychology as a way of understanding her own gift. In the years since then, she has written on Mind-Matter Interaction and the experiences of those in the afterlife. She also has 13 years of field work doing ghost investigations with Loyd Auerbach and the Office of Paranormal Investigations. Dr. Heath is currently a full member of the Parapsychological Association, an Associate of the Society for Psychical Research, and co-founder of the Paranormal Research Organization. She has published journal articles and textbook chapters on psychokinesis, place memory, experiential research, and the survival of bodily death. Her books include The PK Zone, Suicide: What Really Happens in the Afterlife? (also available in Spanish), and Handbook to the Afterlife (coming in Spring, 2010).
