Though he can be technically called retired, there's very little that slows down former NYPD Detective Jerry Palace. Since he left the force, he's made quite a name for himself as a Private Investigator. Until recently, Jerry was the host of Court TV/truTV "The Wrong Man?" This award winning documentary series dealt with those wrongfully convicted. Palace's career has spanned all elements of police work from the more grandiose larceny, burglary, rape, robbery and homicide to the day in and day out grind of just helping those in need. Starting out as a beat cop in the Bronx, Palace eventually rose from the anti-crime unit and burglary investigations to the Narcotics Division, where he worked undercover, investigating both low level and major drug dealers. From there, he moved on to The Bronx Robbery Squad, investigating robbery and murder cases. In his 30+ years on the job, Palace has seen more of the dark side of humanity than most people see in a lifetime. He's made over a dozen arrests against major crime figures and received numerous Police Commendations. But Palace doesn't pay his awards too much attention. To him, it's all icing on the cake. The real fun is in the actual police work, and Palace couldn't see himself doing anything else. The scum of the city hasn't weighed too heavily on Jerry, who is happily married and a father of 4 daughters. In fact, he finds it all rather invigorating citing that New York is a much safer city today than it was way back when he started walking the beat. Recently, Jerry and his investigative team were responsible for the release of a wrongfully convicted NYPD officer Richard DiGuglielmo. Their hard work came to fruition during a 3 year investigation, and an eight day hearing. Jerry considers this one of his greatest accomplishment. In closing, his style of controversial detective work has placed him on some of the most famous guest seats including Oprah, Larry King, Bill O'Reilly, Good Morning America and Dateline NBC.
