Listen to David Suess at Practical Catholic as he discusses: Do we love ourselves? One of the hardest things for any Catholic is to say "I love myself". We have this guilty or bad feeling that we should never say "I love myself" and yet that is exactly what we need to do, to be a loving Christian. Jesus says "love your neighbor as yourself", so in essence, Jesus is asking us to love ourselves. Maybe it is a false or mislead understanding of true humility that leads us to think we should never love ourselves.
