Ellie Miller is a registered nurse who lives in Brooklyn, NY and has been practicing as a Labor & Delivery nurse for 8 years. She is about to embark on her 3rd career as a midwife and is an adult learner surfer, having started in earnest about 3 years ago. A few months back, Ellie and host, Tyler Breuer had an incident in the water. Tyler had reacted as many experienced surfers tend to.. with condescension and a bit of attitude. But Ellie remained calm and understanding. Then something amazing happened. Instead of ruining each other's sessions, the two had a remarkable conversation about etiquette, appropriate behavior in the lineup and the two have become friends. This episode is a conversation about how surfers can make the lineup better for all and how we appropriately deal with each other when there are incidents while surfing.
