The Book is about the public display of intimacy between couples from diverse backgrounds, a claiming of public space for private tenderness. Erica is a self-taught photographer and a founding Director of the NYC Camera of the Month Club, a photography collective. We discuss her journey from working in the nonprofit world to making the leap as a full time photographer, her book ‘Beach Lovers’, and how the many ways of New York City inspire her.
