In this conversation, Nicholas Ng-A-Fook and Stephen Hurley speak with Drs. Catherine Duquette and Lindsay Gibson on issues of historical thinking during a pandemic, the dynamics of curriculum reform and the origins of Crokinole.

Dr. Catherine Duquette is a regular professor in secondary education in human sciences at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC). She has expertise in the field of history didactics, which revolves around the teaching and learning of historical thinking and historical awareness in primary and secondary school students.

Dr. Lindsay Gibson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy at the University of British Columbia. For more than a decade Lindsay has collaborated with various organizations including The Critical Thinking Consortium (TC2), Historica, and others to develop learning resources and professional learning opportunities for pre and in-service teachers that promote historical thinking and historical inquiry.
