Madelaine McCracken is a Métis educator in the province of Alberta, and is currently enrolled in PhD program out of the University of Ottawa. In her very first visit to On Education Matters, we discuss Madelaine's Masters Project (MRP), "Addressing Truth and Reconciliation:
The Caring Society, Professional Learning, and Ontario Social Studies Curricula".
We talk about the ways in which not-for-profit organizations are helping to support non-Indigenous educators as they take up the important work of unravelling the histories, narratives and stories of this land. We talk about the importance of those stories in moving towards Dwayne Donald's idea of "ethical relationality".
Madelaine brings great insights, important questions and a wonderful laugh to voicEd Radio.
