As an exclusive to Vogue Italia, Tishani Doshi wrote a dark fairytale dedicated to girls who do not need a prince charming in their life. The short story, featured in the June issue of the magazine, revisits the figure of Rapunzel creating a story for adult readers without a prince in sight. Maybe because the girls with long tresses must free themselves relying only on their own strength, not just from the tower they are imprisoned in, but also from the nice satin laces their hair is tied up with.To become women, to become empowered and, maybe, also better mothers tomorrow.
