thor Mark Onspaugh joined us again to explore the unusual history of how Valentine’s Day came to be. It’s not all love and candy hearts. Mark also read aloud a new ghostly short story he wrote specifically for this show called, “Shades of Love.” We were so honored Mark did that that we now dub him the “Official Story Teller of Ghostly Talk.” Seriously, it’s an awesome story! Mark is such a talented writer. So sit back, listen up and enjoy the awkward and bloody history of Valentine’s Day + stories!

Mark Onspaugh is a California native and the author of over fifty published short stories. Like many writers, he is perpetually curious, having studied psychology at UCLA, exotic animals at Moorpark College’s EATM program, improv comedy with the Groundlings and special effects makeup with Thomas R. Burman, Rick Baker and Rob Bottin. Mark has also written for film and television. He is the author of “Dark Valentines” and much more. Nominated for a prestigious Pushcart Prize, writer Onspaugh is delighted to have been compared to his favorite authors Ray Bradbury and Stephen King.
