Domestic violence is horrible. It's something so hard to get away. You are threatened. Mine would tel me "I'll kill you and the kids. I'll burn the house down with you and the kids in it." It is something that is also taught. My mother was a victim. She stayed with my dad. I was a victim(mostly verbal). My son who was in a toxic relationship used to tell me "now I know how you felt". He sent me pictures of his scratched cut face. Every time I was with him I told him he needed to get out.
