Great topic.... I grew up in a home where children had no voice. It was do what I say not what I do rule!!!! I thought my moma was the meanest person on earth... Today, I appreciate the way she raised us. I almost was as structured as she was until a friend pointed to me how scared I was. I'm still learning it's how you deliver anything....Your tone. I was about to allow my daughter to speak what was on her mind in a respectful way. My mother didn't like it but I had to break the cycle or not have a good relationship with my daughter.
