Yes, behind bars, locked up after 16 years in Arizona!
While detained she learned so much about them and their stories .
The Guatemalans, Hondurans, Mexicans their resilience, their drive, their WHY.
When freed she learned so much about herself.
After losing every material possession she owned and having to start over with nothing but a backpack she openly shares her knowledge and experiences from both behind bars and then on the other side of the bars free .
Her humanitarian approach is something we all need to hear and be witness too. She was there her white girl perspective is second to none and a true eye opener on both their stories and what detainment truly means and the rebuilding after.
