Elon Musk tweeted that Tesla now accepts Bitcoin as a payment method and that it would not sell the Bitcoin earn from purchases for fiat. In addition, Elon stated Tesla is using only internal & open source software & operates Bitcoin nodes directly. MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor responded to this move by tweeting "Shareholder value creation comes from holding an appreciating asset BTC over a long period of time. It is logical for every firm (both public & private) in the Bitcoin industry to do the same thing Tesla is doing. Corporate treasuries should hodl bitcoin." Goldman Sachs has filed a note with the U.S. Securities Exchange And Commission (SEC) regarding the ARK Innovation ETF, an exchange-traded fund (ETF) capable of investing in bitcoin and bitcoin-adjacent technology. Bitcoin rewards company Lolli has raised $5 million from a cast of notable investors including Serena Williams.The world’s largest bitcoin conference is moving from Los Angeles to Miami. The Bank of Jamaica (BoJ) is planning to pilot its central bank digital currency (CBDC) in May and is working with Ireland-based technology firm eCurrency Mint to support the rollout.
