The point was brought up that religious people believe they are happier, etc. than non-believers. My former mother-in-law was very devout in her faith, but was also the most depressing/miserable person I'd ever met. Her daughter (my ex) wasn't religious, but believed in a god and was also miserable in her existence in life. I made tha point to her once that her mother is quite miserable to be supposedly a "Christian." She didn't know what to think of that, but I said what I said and we broke up about one year later lol.
