Technology in Homeschooling, Online Safety and The Wired Homeschool Blog & Podcast


Much of the expansive growth in homeschooling is due in no small part to technology including the internet. There are numerous resources, uses, and online communities that have been highly used. When it comes to homeschooling our children we have more opportunities than ever before. But we must keep in mind the online dangers and our children's online activities. Our guest today if John Wilkerson of the Wired Homeschool. He will be talking about technology and the internet as well as The Wired Homeschool.




John Wilkerson has been married to Lisa for 16 years and together they have 7 children. Their oldest has “graduated” from homeschooling and the other 6 continue to keep them very busy.

John loves gadgets and other geeky things (like Star Wars, Doctor Who, and bacon) and sometimes wishes he could homeschool on the holodeck of the Enterprise.

In the spaces between working full-time, being a husband and father, trying to serve God, and fixing stuff around the house John tries to find time for his hobbies: podcasting, blogging, social media, martial arts, backyard astronomy, and coaching soccer.
