and the Cross Encounters Radio Show
In today’s world, it may be more difficult than ever to raise godly children.  The sin around us seems to be magnified more than ever and the social pressures complicate discipling to our children.  But we are called to raise our children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. That is our responsibility as parents and should not be delegated away.   We need to understand the relationship we have with our children and the importance of love and instruction in that relationship.  Today our guest is Chris Hohnholz, a husband and father of two boys who they homeschool, and he is joining us for our feature Friday Series, “Dads, Get in the Race.”  Chris is going to talk to us today about godly parenting, how important it is and he will give us some sound biblical advice.  He is also going to talk a little about his passion for evangelism and how we can get our children involved.  And finally, he is going to discuss the radio show he is a co-host for, Cross Encounters.



Chris Hohnholz is a veteran of the Nevada Division of Parole and Probation, having been in their employ since January 1999.  He graduated in 1996 from the University of Nevada, Reno with a BA in Criminal Justice. He also served as an officer in the Nevada Army National Guard from 1996 to 2004.  In September of 2000, Chris was confronted with his sin in light of the holiness of God. Subsequently, Chris received eternal life in Christ and now attends Calvary Chapel of Reno-Sparks with his wife and two sons. In August of 2009, he completed the Living Waters Ambassador’s Academy program and has actively been engaged in evangelism. He is assistant manager, on-air producer and co-host of the online radio program, Cross Encounters hosted by Tony Miano.
