The Liberty Movement and Homeschooling
We are at a crossroads with homeschooling in America.  After legalizing it in all 50 states the past several decades, homeschoolers have relatively been left to homeschool by and large.  But now, with the expansive growth of homeschooling, which threatens the government control of our children and ultimately governmental control of society as a whole, homeschool opponents are beginning to really push back. The battle lines are being drawn and you can be sure that homeschool opponents and government control advocates will begin doing all they can to crush the rebellious homeschool movement that threatens their idea of what an obedient and controlled society should be like.  The future of our nation and our liberties depend on a new generation free from government indoctrination and that is why homeschooling is so vital to a free and prosperous society.  A new generation of homeschoolers producing independent thinkers and self-sufficient citizens, accountable only to themselves and God, while protecting our liberties and freedom, is cause to celebrate.  But it’s also reason to be vigilant as those who want to strip that from us will be ramping up their efforts.

Our guest today, Ben Swann from BenSwann.com, is a leader in the liberty and homeschooling movement and he is going to talk to us in regards to both liberty and homeschooling.

Ben has spent 14 years working as a journalist in broadcast news.  Home-schooled, he received his High school diploma by age 11, college degrees from BYU by age 15, and masters degrees from California State University by age 16. He began his career as a news photographer and moved up the ladder to reporter, morning anchor/reporter, prime time anchor/reporter.  Along the way he won two Emmy Awards and two Edward R. Murrow awards.  In 2010, he moved north to Cincinnati, Ohio to take a prime time anchor job with WXIX and there  became the producer/writer/anchor of a segment called “Reality Check.”  Thanks to a passionate following, his work has become an internet phenomenon with over 10 million video views in over 140 countries.
