show moreThe 2017 season is quickly becoming an injury riddled season for many of the teams projected to contend for the postseason. The Washington Nationals lost newly acquired CF Adam Eaton to a torn ACL and meniscus in his knee which will end his season. Who can the Nationals turn to for help at centerfield? A former player with Chris' favorite team just might be the answer.
Staying in the NL East, the New York Mets are plummeting this year. They sit at the bottom of their division tied with the Atlanta Braves and is there really any end in sight? Noah Syndergaard has been hurt and had to leave every start early it seems, and hearing "I had no idea" when Matt Harvey was asked if he knew he would be starting for the injured Syndergaard on Thursday makes you wonder what is happening in that clubhouse. Can the Mets turn it around or does their 23-5 drubbing by the Nationals signal an early end to the Metropolitan's season?
Finally, the Big Apple is all abuzz about baseball again this year and we do not mean because of the above mentioned Mets. Court has been in session in the Bronx this year as Aaron Judge is on a tear to start off the year clubbing 10 homeruns in the month of April. Is this just a flash in the pan or did Aaron Judge find the answers to all his woes from last season?
All that plus our Defender of the Week and Graham takes you Behind the Mask talking about obstruction this week on Out of Left Field.
