Miami Marlins - The Miami Marlins have found 17 players and staff that have popped positive for Covid-19. All of the Marlins games have been postponed until at least Sunday while they check the rest of the players and staff. This brings to mind the ability to have around 30 players in reserve to be able to step up in any role possible. Per Buster Olney, he states “MLB shouldn't worry if some teams play 55 games, others 59 or 60. Just go by winning percentage. Something they did after the 1981 strike. ”What do you think about this being the norm for the season.

Justin Verlander to be shut down for a couple of weeks because of a forearm strain. Some media outlets reported he was lost for the season, Verlander came back later that day and clarified, he would be back this season.
Corey Kluber is done for a month as well with a back strain, pitched a total of ONE inning for the rangers - his new team. Might be damaged goods, seems like he is getting hurt a lot lately.
Daniel Bard had not pitched in an MLB Game in 2,646 days! Finally got his 1st win SINCE May 29th, 2012 for the Colorado Rockies. Congrats to Bard

HEARTBREAKING ANGELS … Off to a slow start, what a surprise. Trout did not HR in the first game of the season as predicted by Brent who says, “He kills Seattle and Felix Hernandez on opening day” … when they were facing the Oakland A’s = whom King Felix does not play for. Things got worse as they became the first team to lose in extra innings with the new runner at 2nd base rule, thanks to a base running blunder by Shohei - not that it would have mattered since Matt Olson hit a walk-off grand slam the next inning. Speaking of Ohtani, he had arguably the worst first start of the season in MLB history. Did not record a single out for his once a week start. Now the Trout has gone fishing for who knows how long, since the birth of his son.

Given how bad the Angels have started this season, does he bother coming back? Where doe the Angels go from here? That bullpen is pretty bad, SP has all this potential but can they live up to the hype?

DODGERS VS. ASStros - lives up to the hype. The real LA team has gotten off to a solid start as expected going 5-2 and most importantly swept the two game series against the cheaters. In the first game of the series Joe Kelly threw behind Bregman in a 3-0 count and then nearly hit Correa with a slider. He went on to finish off the inning by striking Correa out on a wicked curveball. For some reason Correa took exception to nearly being hit by a slider. Then proceeded to instigate Joe Kelly as he walked back to the dugout. Joe Kelly then had two legendary facial reactions to Correa that will forever live in meme history. Kelly followed that up by saying, “Nice swing Bitch.”5240-??

Notes to take into consideration:
When Kelly went to cover the bag on a possible double play. Someone from the AssTros can cleary be heard saying, “get back on the mound little fucker.”
Dusty baker took exception with Kelly calling Correa a bitch but had no problem with one of his players calling him a Fucker?
The AssCans went to the Dodgers bench, starting with Correa. Kelly was going to his bench and didn’t say anything until Correa began chirping.

Joe Kelly suspension - Dodgers Reliever Joe Kelly has been suspended 8 games. MLB referred to Kelly’s past history with “intentional throwing”, ei the fastball that “buzzed” Alex Bregman and his taunting of Carlos Correa. I find it interesting that one of the things they sighted in the suspension was “taunting” but nothing was done to the players who were chirping from the dugout and or to Correa that continued to chirp at Kelly as he walked off the field. For those of you who haven't heard the “dugout talk” check out Jomboy Media on FB or IG and he breaks down the whole event. Just doesn't make any sense. It makes it look like the league is protecting the ASStros. Nomar Garcia-para goes OFF on the league!

SUSPENSION: Kelly was suspended for 8 games, equivalent to 20-22 games in a regular season. The harshest punishment ever assessed for NOT hitting someone in a game.
Kelly got a harsher punishment for throwing, not hitting, an ASStro - than they did for CHEATING their way to a title.
Normar put it perfectly, if MLB had done the right thing and vacated the title none of this would have happened. Now they are trying to protect cheaters?

WEEK 1 HIGHLIGHTS?
The other Bieber … Shane a SP for the Cleveland Indians has 27 strikeouts in his first two starts of the season.
Stanton appears to be back and healthy hitting some mammoth HR’s.
Marlins catch a case of the COVID and sends MLB into a damage control frenzy
Canceling games around the league, since they caught it at the Phillies Club House.
I believe a Philly Player and Coach has since tested positive for it as well.

NBA - The chase for the title has resumed.

They kicked off games last night highlighted by the night cap of Lakers vs. Clippers.
This game had everything you could want:
Probably the two best teams in the West going heads up.
Davis with 30+ Lakers and George with 30+ for the Clippers
Final score was 103-101
Came down to the final possession of the game where George tried to get a foul call behind the three point line on LeBron.
Prior to that Gorge had hit a nice 3 to tie the game and James responded with a luck basket as he took a poor shot, it hit the rim and came right back to him, where he simply got an easy put back layup.
SIDE NOTES:
Prior to the games every player, coach and referee took a knee during the national anthem.
Lots of players have interesting messages on the back of their jerseys instead of their last names.
Although I noticed a lot of Lakers didn’t have it - not sure why.
The bubble is clearly working in the NBA there have been ZERO positive tests.
One coach called the bubble the biggest AAU tournament in the history of basketball.
Donavan Mitchell brought a bullet proof vest with the names of victims written all over it. Giving the press the quote, Am I Next?


NFL
Antonio Brown Suspended for 8 Games by the league for violating NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy. That’s like saying Colin Kaprenick was suspended 2 games for not showing up to his showcase - really … who cares? He’s not going to play in the NFL and has already “retired”
