We are thrilled to welcome our #StrongerUs book club author, Dr. Kelly McGonigal to the podcast this week! If you are a part of the Stronger U Community, then you know that we're using September to collectively read Dr. McGonigal's book, "The Willpower Instinct". Stronger U's Manager of Nutrition Education and Innovation, Gianna Masi, RD, sits down with Dr. McGonigal to talk about the science of willpower in this week's episode. Focused specifically on the human response to willpower and the effects of willpower on our body's chemistry, Gianna and Dr. McGonigal explore how we can develop stronger willpower in our own lives.

Kelly McGonigal is a health psychologist who specializes in understanding the mind-body connection. She is the best-selling author of The Willpower Instinct and The Upside of Stress. Her latest book, The Joy of Movement, explores why physical exercise is a powerful antidote to the modern epidemics of depression, anxiety, and loneliness.
