A new vocal competition has been created without all the rules that keep some people out. A classical guitarist wins the Sphinx Mpower Grant seeking to expose more Black women classical guitar composers. An African-American is the winner of the American Composers Orchestra’s EarShot Readings Commission with his composition Wraith Weight.
