show moreBeckett, who is also the city's director of emergency management, became Mississauga's fire chief in 2014. Beckett, has been involved in fire service for close to 35 years, and his father was also a fire chief.
Beckett also served as the fire chief for the City of Kitchener Fire Department and as president of the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs and was awarded the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal for leadership excellence for his work with the organization.
