Man, I have great taste, and let me tell you why.

Leila Abdul-Rauf is a heavy music legend. Moving to San Francisco a number of years back, Leila has been performing right in the thick of that music scene...the scene i speak of is full of metal artists known for creating works in multiple genres, and of the very darkest styles.

A few years back, Leila was looking to express herself in a radically new way. She started writing melancholy musical suites that share equal space between splendor and threat. It's truly startling work. Her music shreds every preconceived notion of what a heavy music artist should be creating and it's proof that the best can do it all.

Her latest release, Phantasiai, proves her level of skill. Leila continues to do solo shows where her work shines in new and surprising ways. For those interested in seeing her in the future, Leila will be performing in Seattle at Terror fest in July of 2022, so get that on your calendar! Personally, I can't wait to see her live... I should say that you might want to watch out for some other secret shows in the near future as well. Things are cooking.

So, listen to the whole show today, because rest assured, it's worth your time. This is my conversation with Leila Abdul-Rauf, the crafter of onstage and offstage musical experiences, on the Rockstar Superhero Podcast.
