This week on the Instinctive Scouting Podcast, two-time NFL general manager Scot McCloughan joins our own Rob Rang to take a look at the senior all-star game circuit, highlighting some players who have already turned some heads at the East-West Shrine Game as well as taking a look back at prospects who previously caught our eye. As Scot says, we’re showing our age in this episode a bit with references going back to the now defunct Blue-Gray Game and Hula Bowl.
While seniors are the focus in these all-star games, Scot suggests that should change, arguing that “it would be good for everyone” if underclassmen were allowed to participate in these games.
The guys also pick out their favorites among the NFL’s new coaching hires and look ahead to what should be a very entertaining conference championship games this week.
As always, thanks for listening!
