You can't just pick up a Bible and understand it, can you? So how do uneducated people become Christians?

I count God in any form as the same entity. So the Holy Spirit, is still Jesus.

If you think the Bible is necessary for your growth in your relationship with God, then your relationship requires a mediator other than Jesus.

Liza , I hear what you are saying, but I don't think you are answering my question. In 2004, you had already been educated at one of the top institutions in the world, and you still had to get training on how to read the Bible. Your relationship required a mediator other than Jesus. That's reason enough for me to doubt the Bible as the authority people try to make it.
