Week 6: day 1
WHO IS GOD TO YOU?

Genesis 17:3
Overwhelmed, Abram fell flat on his face.
Then God said to him, "This is my covenant with you: You'll be the father of many nations. Your name will no longer be Abram, but Abraham, meaning that 'I'm making you the father of many nations.' I'll make you a father of fathers—I'll make nations from you, kings will issue from you. I'm establishing my covenant between me and you, a covenant that includes your descendants, a covenant that goes on and on and on, a covenant that commits me to be your God and the God of your descendants. And I'm giving you and your descendants this land where you're now just camping, this whole country of Canaan, to own forever. And I'll be their God."

One thing is certain, When God is your God, it is personal. He is our God but is He your God?

In being your God, how has He been revealed to you?

Mark 8:27-29
[27]And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am?
[28]And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.
[29]And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.

Today, i will be talking about experiences. You see, it is not enough to have head knowledge (having knowing the secrets behind the cuisines) but having no idea of its taste and never partaking of its nutrients.

Let me ask, Why do you say God of Abraham, God of Jacob, God of Isreal, God of Isaac, God of David? In today's times, you hear God of Adeboye or God of Idahosa and the list goes on and on.

What do you think is the common denominator in all these? Simple! Their Relationship and experience with God.

'Who is God to you?' Is a question i hope surges you to desire an experience with God: have a revelation of His Being.

Know this however, that what you know of God is not all to know of God.

He can't be expended by the human mind. He is I AM but don't let that stop you. Have your fill of the banquet. There will always be more to experience of Him so always increase your appetite.

Don't just come, don't just be in His company, don't just be satisfied with position, title and activities - dive in, take your fill, get satisfied in Him: drink of His Living waters, eat of His feast.

Isaiah 55:1-2
Every one that thirst, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Why do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfies you not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

I pray today that as you know of God, you know Him. I pray that each phase of your life is a revelational phase of who God is, in Jesus name, amen.
