Cas were victims of their own sucess in 2017. Medium squad players all got big upgrades and bent the cap out of shape. Financially they have stuggled and continue to do so. They are at a crossroads with Radford be interesting to see how many of the Hull mafia he brings with him. They will rely on "Moneyball" signings funded by other clubs in the shor term. They also are struggling with the quality of their academy. Mamo is their bright spot.

Huddersfield have great resources and most importantly a good academy. The issue is he inheirted a squad with previously poor recruitment and cap balance. There have been several questions raised as to the power and influnce of the CEO over the squad and his links with player agents . He has loaned out some players at Huddersfield's cost and is doing so again. He has also had to take on and change the senior player group (Sezar & Co). I think he has signed some good players this season and will sign some more this close season. I thought they would do better in 2021 but as the season has unfolded it has become clear that the dressing room and boardroom have needed further surgery.

Champ and L1 was great this weekend. Hats off to Whitehaven, down 16-0 to win 22-36 against the Bulls scoring 5 tries in 11 sets. Now in the playoffs away to Fax next week. A stumble for NW Crusaders but still fancy them to beat Doncaster who looked busted and gassed at the end of their game against Hunslet. Weekly update on Lalachlan Walmsley (along with Louis Jouffret) both now going to Fax which is a big surprise. I suppose if I link him with a different team every week eventually I will be right ala Nosey Parker.

Was really impressed with Ashton , Thewlis and Wrench. Few people knocking their signings for next year. I think those three young lads will go really well next season. FYI Paul Cullen (Head of MRP) is Mike Cooper's Uncle.
