Couldn't get my head around Bell , thought he was early cover for a Knowles departure to the NRL. Think he will go well this year. Early shout for 2023 hooking duties shared Lussick / Bell and easing in Pemberton. Good value for money. Good hands and a few bell ringers in him. Look like Kevin Tamati's younger brother.

We lost some good players and looks like we have recruited well - only time will tell if we are any better or weaker for the change. Will we be in a transition year or go from strength to strength, can we do the 4 in a row ? I hope our youngster will settle in to their positions with a solid full season in one position.

Excited about Saints for the new season. A blow to have Grace out for a couple of months or two Percival passes depending how you measure time. Looking forward to seeing the new signings think they will all go well. Still not sold on hopoate but prepared to be proved wrong. Hope the the likes of Simm ,Davies and Norman get a go. No guarantees for the season other than LMS and Amor getting a deall for 2023. Cats the main threat.

Catalan definately strengthened with the few they have brought in. They will make the play offs no danger. But will COVID rules in terms of travelling play its part this year

catalan have brought in 3 NRL players that I dont know much about, I dont think they will miss losing Joel Tomkins, but may miss Maloney ? They will have a lot of pressure this year to try and match last years success. I think they will still do well and be a contender for trophies. Hopefully Covid rules etc in France wont disrupt things.

I think it will be interesting to see if warrington play a more open flowing game under Powell this season, they could be entertaining and it could be their year

I watched the Midland Hurricanes vs Rochdale in the challenge cup game on Iplayer . They gave it a good dig despite loosing. They are a new team ( used to be coventry bears) and are playing down the road from me this season, so should get a few games in. There is a good pod cast on BBC interviewing their CEO Alan Robinson and the Rochdale CEO, about developing clubs sustainably -worth a listen.
