NEW EP - THE CALL BY JENICE LA VONNE contemporary gospel artists. http://lovejeniselavonne.com

From Norcross, GA by way of East Elmhurst, NY Jenise was born and raised in church under the Apostolic doctrine and Pentecostal experience. With parents active in ministry, her father a bishop and mother a missionary and teacher, the Word of God was planted in her heart at an early age. Jenise began singing on the children's choir at the tender age of 2 and at the age of 11 she began writing her own songs. From the wise advice of her father, Jenise continued writing, acquired a vocal coach who helped her hone her craft and was given several opened doors to minister through song.

In 2007, Jenise joined forces with Rahim Beyah of Czar Entertainment producing a 3-song demo, which was released locally. In 2009, she competed in the 1st annual Gospel Star Search at the Greater Refuge Temple Church of Out Lord Jesus Christ (COOLJC),
where she came in second place. In December of 2010 Jenise toured Europe with J. David Bratton and the New York State Mass Choir. After being given the opportunity to see the world, the fire began to burn again with excitement in Jenise's heart to produce her own music.
"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come (2 Timothy 3:1)." Aren't they here? With a dire thirst for ministry and evangelism in music, Jenise La Vonne sets the tone for a new era. Blending the sounds of Contemporary Gospel and Contemporary Christian music all while being rooted in the traditional Gospel message, Jenise La Vonne's sound and mission for her music is undeniably EVANGELISTIC; for it seeks to minister to the soul.

As God would have it, Jenise began to work with Tarence Farrell of Levite Music mid 2011. Since then the two have begun production on her forthcoming project entitled “THE CALL”. With musical influences from Dorothy Dandridge and Tina Turner to Vickie Winans and John P. Kee, her debut album is expected to inspire, uplift, influence and most of all usher in the presence of the Living God. With powerful vocals and enlightening lyrics there is no doubt that Jenise La Vonne is and will continue to be a trailblazer in the music industry.

Introducing Jenise La Vonne.

REVIEW:
Our Staff loves this music. Her voice is genuine and believable and the message of the song are timely to our day and age.
We think its relatable to all age groups. I will be adding it into the New Artist Profile Online radio show as well as WNRR
Gospel 1380 am in Augusta Ga.

Although the wispy classical-and-acoustic-guitar intro of “The Wonder of You” reveals the marvel that Jenise La Vonne feels
in the presence of the Lord, her penetrating vocals offer a more dramatic scenario: she’s actually drifted away and is
looking to reclaim that time “when I first believed.”
Nominated for four 2015 Rhythm of Gospel Awards, indie artist Jenise is a PK who has literally grown up in church. She’s
fervent in her delivery, a singer navigating the deceptively complex demands of a gospel song. The innocence that
“The Wonder of You” exudes will likely appeal most to the youth and young adult demographic.

Review:
There's something about Jenise La Vonne that makes her message instantly believable. Maybe it's that she conveys the
lyrics of her single "Do What Jesus Says" with a not-often-used combination of gentle earnest. Perhaps it's because she
sings as if the lyrics are a part of her lived experience. Whatever the likely reason, when Jenise ascends to the uppers
of her alto register to reiterate, "I'll only do what, I'll only do what, I'll only do what Jesus says," you get that she
means it.

It's just that simple. And nearly as simple is the accompaniment, notably the barely audible strings underneath the more
prominent acoustic guitar (and its periodic fret noise). Occasionally, Jenise backs herself like a reassuring voice of
wisdom in the unhurried, introspective ballad.
