It was amazing… Hey Edie… Did you notice they took away the debris from the playground today?

Oh no! I don't aspire to public office...at least on the local level. That City Council is such a Clown Show.

That was actually the most rebellious thing I did in high school...I was really a goody two-shoes. Oh wait...I did cut class in September 1981 to go stand in line at the Ticketmaster desk at Stonestown to buy Rolling Stones concert tickets. I still have the t-shirt from their October 18, 1981 concert at Candlestick.

Edie, when I was at Lowell High School 1978-1982, that coincided with the decline of Disco and the beginning of the Punk era. A couple of my best friends who went all-out green-hair Punk, and I formed the "Rot & Roll Club," and we absolutely HATED Disco. For club activities, we would shop for Disco records at used record stores, then smash them to smithereens against the cinder block wall of the high school.

Philip, you might want to go to the brand new one in Hercules. It just opened a month ago. and if it's horrible, there's a Lucky across the street that has GREAT deals on fish. There's a large AAPA population in Hercules, so that Lucky is REALLY good for unusual stuff like fish and fruit.

… Are usually just don’t shop at Safeway unless I need some kind of specific baking ingredient. I’ve been trying to save some money, and so they were offering ribs for dinner. There was a whole angry mob of people like myself who were expecting to take them home to feed their children. You would think they just substitute chicken or some thing.

That's why, when I need to go to a supermarket, I combine a trip to the San Rafael Smart & Final with a trip to my office-office two doors down on Andersen Drive.

Going to the Safeway in Delhi was your first mistake.

Bottom line… I haven’t had a good experience and Safeway in years. That’s why I seldom go there. Once in a while I need to go there to remember why I don’t go there

Mask mandates by both customers and employees were incredibly sloppy. I came in for six items all of which they were out of stock on including the items we were going to have for dinner tonight. No substitutions. Staff had eyes that look like zombies. No manager and bakery no manager in Delhi no manager on the front line customer service desk closed. One person at the deli with a line running to the front door. The whole place is a mess… Not to mention some type of typical emergency happening with the mentally ill person at the front
