We're back from a two-day break, and guess what? We're not on fire. Well, at least not literally. California has had the best weekend in COVID numbers in six months. But we're not out of the woods yet — more wind, more warnings, and more PSPSes are possible.

Edie: I actually started tracking California vs. Texas on Covid in July. On July 19th, California was at 19 deaths/100K and Texas was at 13. They passed us per capita deaths on August 3rd. Now they're 17 higher than California at 59/100K.
