The 2021-2022 Flyers season has been nothing short of a disaster in many ways. What we threw down on the Table this week was a discussion with our friend of the pod Ryan Gilbert, contributor at BroadStreetHockey.com and cohost of the Sports Gambling Podcast, about the coming Flyers rebuild. How long will it take, and can we expect good things from the Flyers in the years to come? It was a great discussion!
But first, we gave our reactions to game 3 of the 76ers and Raptors postseason series where the game was decided up in Toronto by a game-winning 3-point shot by Joel Embiid. The Sixers are showing us what they're made of! (approx. 1:55)
From there, we got into some Listener Feedback we received about the overtime changes instituted by the NFL. (approx. 11:05)
Right after, the guys discussed the upcoming NFL Draft as it pertains to the Eagles, and they also touched on the recent signing of Olympic hurdler Devon Allen as a possible kick/punt returner for this team in the future. (approx. 17:20)
We then discussed this incredibly disappointing Phillies season thus far. This team can't catch a break, the pitching has been suspect, and the stars haven't given us a ton of hope early on. (approx. 27:30)
What we threw down on the Table this week was a great interview with Ryan Gilbert from Broad Street Hockey and the Sports Gambling Podcast. What's the first thing Chuck Fletcher will need to address in the offseason? Who might step up to be the foundation of a new leadership core? Might the season been a bit different if Ryan Ellis was healthy? All of this and much more this week on the Table! (approx. 38:15)
