We are in the middle of the Philadelphia 76'ers season where they're currently fourth overall in the Eastern Conference! With he addition of Jimmy Butler, a dominating year by Joel Embiid and the development of Ben Simmons, we're asking ourselves this week: how will the Sixers continue to grow? This week we'll dive into this Sixers season with Tom Moore, Sixers beat writer for the Bucks County Courier Times, The Intelligencer, and Burlington County Times. It's a tremendous interview you won't want to miss.
Plus, this week we first discussed Villanova's up and down season as the NCAA men's basketball defending champions. (2:40)
And we also discussed at the onset of the show how it doesn't appear the Flyers are taking their season, and what it means for future draft picks. (9:25)
This week on the Highbrow Segment and as the Super Bowl is upon us, we got into how important Super Bowl wins are for players, especially quarterbacks, when analyzing their legacy. (16:05)
On the Lowbrow Segment, we dove into the challenge put forth by Howard Eskin to hook his fellow reporter, Joe Santoliquito, up to a lie detector test. We also briefly discussed which news and sportscaster would win a Royal Rumble match. (28:40)
What we're throwing down on the Table is an interview with Tom Moore who covers the Sixers for the Bucks County Courier Times, The Intelligencer, and Burlington County Times. First, the guys discussed expectations on the season and then realistic trade targets as the trade deadline looms. What potential buyout candidates might we be looking at in the future? Also, we talked about JJ Redick having a career year and how Ben Simmons has continued to develop. It's a great interview! (36:45)
