A New Phillies Beginning & Era Is Here (PST Show #303)



The Philadelphia Phillies have with much anticipation landed Bryce Harper this offseason! And just like that a new Phillies beginning and era has begun. There's a ton of excitement surrounding Phillies Nation and what we'll be seeing on the field at Citizens Bank Park and throughout the season. This week, we brought onto the show Justin Klugh, Managing Editor of TheGoodPhight.com and host of The Dirty Inning podcast, to get into this Phillies team. It was an awesome interview!



Plus, we got into a discussion about the recent Eagles contract extensions for Brandon Graham and Isaac Seumalo, as well as Lane Johnson's new restructured contract. (4:00)

This week on the Highbrow Segment, we had a discussion about professional sports athletes who request trades. We're seeing it with Antonio Brown from the Steelers, and we've seen it a number of times over the years with other sports and athletes. Is there a middle-ground? Some say, players who engage in this tactic are just too greedy, and they should be grateful they are a professional athlete getting paid mega bucks. Others say, the owners screw over athletes and should be paying them even more since it's the players who essentially make the owners richer. (21:50)
