For Hichem Khadhraoui, Head of Operations at Geneva Call, the High-Level Leader’s Roundtable on “Upholding the Norms that Safeguard Humanity” provided an opportunity to highlight the important role non-state armed actors play in armed conflicts and the need to not only train them on International Humanitarian Law and their responsibilities as a party to a conflict, but that they should be engaged in the discussions.
