Dr. Luke O'Neill is Professor and Chair of Biochemistry in the School of Biochemistry and Immunology at Trinity College Dublin. He also authored three popular science books and co-founded the company Inflazome. Luke studies the immune system, focusing mainly on understanding and developing treatments for inflammatory diseases like Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis, Alzheimer’s disease, and COVID-19. In his free time, he sings and plays guitar in a band called The Metabollix.
