At Harriet Tubman Middle School, students are missing out on learning and walking out on classes as substitute teachers try to fill teacher vacancies. Students, teachers and parents at several other Portland middle schools are also facing similar challenges and are frustrated by a lack of support after more than a year of distance learning.
