A new Covid variant in South Africa has health experts concerned.
It's believed to be more transmissible and vaccine-resistant than Delta.
The UK has already shut their borders to six African countries which have detected the virus so far.
Auckland University virus mutation expert Dr David Welch told Heather du Plessis-Allan it's definitely something to monitor.
“Alpha and Delta both had increased transmissibility, some of the other ones had greater immune evasion, and this variant seems to combine those two things, and so could potentially make it quite dangerous.”
