Some will wait longer than others to move into the Traffic Light System.
Those who were vaccinated overseas may have to wait up to 14 days before their application for a Vaccine Pass is approved.
It could mean they can only go to supermarkets, petrol stations and health services for a period before enjoying freedoms in the Traffic Light System.
Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins told Mike Hosking 14 days is the maximum time it takes.
“The ones that are coming from countries where the systems for verifying, the accuracy of those records aren't as good, they take a bit longer, but if you're coming from Australia, the US, the UK, those countries, we can generally verify reasonably quickly your vaccine certificates.”
