On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we take you all the way back to the day of Pentecost as recorded in Acts 2, and we look at exactly what the outpouring of the Holy Spirit was on that day, and the role and function of the Holy Spirit in our day, the Church Age. We will not be taking the 'historic positions' of any denomination in this matter, Charismatic, Pentecostal or Baptist included, and will instead look at what the word of God has to say about it 'according to the scriptures'. Also, we will be allowing our apostle, Paul, to have the last word on this subject. It is a good thing to have a lot of passion and emotion in Church worship, and in the study of the scriptures, I am very passionate about those things. But passion and emotion must take a back seat to studying the scriptures soberly, as we follow our apostle Paul's command to "right divide" the word of Truth.
