The book of Joel is one of those books of the Bible that commentators love to spiritualize, metaphorize or turn into poetry because they can't wrap their minds around what the prophet Joel is actually teaching. Joel shows us the LORD's army, made up of the born again Church and the redeemed Tribulation saints from the time of Jacob's trouble.
