The global pandemic of COVID with all it's many vaccine-produced variants has brought one main thing front and center, and that thing now dominates every conversation in every nation on earth. What is that one main thing everyone is suddenly talking about? Death. Think back for a moment, just to 2019, and remember the comparative carefree nature of life before COVID. Sporting events on a Sunday afternoon, parades, cookouts, parties at the lake, and no one worried about catching anything from anybody. Seems like a hundred years ago now, doesn't it? Now all people can talk about is who did or did not take the vaccine, who's on life support, who's sick, who's dead and who's next. This is our life now. Yet strangely, there is no worldwide revival taking place, no great movement of God sweeping our land, churches are not full, and people are more focused on COVID than the Creator. I want to preach to you a message about the coming day when Jesus Christ will reign, will put all enemies under His feet, and finally our last enemy, Death, will be defeated as well. NTEB is experiencing genuine revival, and I want to share a spark of that with you in hopes it will catch on and ignite a blaze so bright that Death will not get the glory, and you will see God high and lifted up. On Saturday, I watched online the funeral service for my friend and former street preacher Mark Bennett. I listened as kind and true words were spoken over his body as it lay still in the casket, awaiting burial. If the Lord tarries, one day that will be you in the box, and one day it will be me. The question is what are we to do between that day and this? Tick, tock...the bell tolls for thee.
