Mark Musick grew-up in Blair, Nebraska and immediately went into the Air Force

after graduating from college. He spent eight years on active duty prior to




returning to Nebraska and joining the Nebraska Air National Guard.

He retired from the military in 2008 at the rank of Major General. During his

military career he was the Commander for the Nebraska Air National Guard, the

Assistant Adjutant General for the Air National Guard in Nebraska, and his final



position was the Mobilization Assistant for the Deputy Commander of United

States Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base.

In early 2002 he met a woman named Eva McLelland, whose husband had just

died. She relayed an unusual story to him which he spent years researching. The

story was about how Howard Hughes pulled the wool over the eyes of the public

and lived his last 25 years with the woman he loved. He finally met his maker in

Nov. 2001.
