TRUMP LARGELY MAINTAINS GOP SUPPORT AMID ELECTION DIVISION
Will most Republicans continue to support Trump through the end of his presidency?
CEO of Beast Digital and Political Strategist RYAN CASSIN joins JT to talk about it.
Republicans are still sticking by President Trump as the election drama rolls into a third week. Most have remained either largely silent about the election results or have loudly and publicly voiced their support for the President and his desire to contest the election that has projected Vice President Joe Biden as the winner. This is likely because they will need his support for things on their agenda like the Georgia Senate run-off race and government funding. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy have expressed their support for Trump’s right to challenge the election results, yet prominent people in the party like Mitt Romney harshly criticized the president’s election lawsuits last week, calling his actions “undemocratic.”
