Then, on the rest of the menu, the California Supreme Court ruled Pacific Gas & Electric cannot be sued over safety-related power shutoffs due to wildfires; a right wing NRA-funded rural judge ruled the voter-approved Oregon gun control law violates the state constitution; and, the Missouri Supreme Court turned away a extreme right wing appeal about how to word a ballot question on access to abortion in the state an upcoming citizen initiative.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where online abuse and hate speech targeting politically active women in Afghanistan significantly increased since the Taliban took over the country; and, German authorities raided the homes of seventeen people in the state of Bavaria accused of spreading antisemitic hate speech and threats targeting Jews online.
