We welcome first time guest and fellow Tennessean, Jake Richards to the show. Jake is a practitioner of folk magic from a very long tradition and has written a book called "Backwoods Witchcraft: Conjure & Folk Magic from Appalachia". We speak to Jake about growing up in this folk magic tradition and some of the practices he has learned over time. We also speak to Jake about how the cultural and geographical traditions of Appalachia have influenced it's folk magic rituals. We then delve into some of the tales of little people of the Cherokee and others from the region.
